This is the first step toward energy independence and saving your hard earned dollars. The emphasis is on no and low cost energy conservation measures. For a modest charge, our energy experts can help identify wasted energy and provide a comprehensive list of “do it yourself” opportunities that will reduce your energy consumption and save you money!
Why should I have an Energy Evaluation? Studies have shown the average homeowner can save 10% to over 30% on their utility bills through simple education, conservation, behavioral changes and/or low cost improvements.
What should I expect? An auditor will spend 1-2 hours in your home. Prior to our visit, we will request you fill out a questionnaire that will include information from your last 12 energy bills. We will use several specialized tools/products to complete our analysis. Several of these tools/products are available for purchase. Since our compensation is based on the evaluation service, you will not be subjected to any pressure sales tactics. Products are made available for convenience and only if we can offer a price competitive to retail stores. In any case, we will show you where these low cost, energy saving products can be purchased.
What will I get? Performance Energy Advisors will complete an analysis of your “baseload” and “seasonal” energy consumption and provide you with a report listing the recommendations discussed during our site visit. Your report will also include a list of incentives/rebates currently available as well as a comprehensive list of no cost and low cost energy saving tips. We carry about 12 different styles of energy efficient CFL lights to match the look and output of standard incandescent lights. Most range in price from $3 to $6 installed. Let us install in those hard to reach areas and you don't have to buy a package of 8 when you only need 3. We also can demonstrate and install other energy saving products that we offer for sale.
What will it cost? $150 (up to 2,000 sq. ft.) Add $.10/sq. ft. for >2,000 sq. ft.
